Carsten Könneker is a German physicist, literary scholar, science journalist, science communicator, and science promoter. He served as editor-in-chief of the science portal Spektrum.de and the journal Spektrum der Wissenschaft from 2010 to 2019 and was also the editor-in-chief of the magazine Gehirn&Geist from 2004 to 2019. Additionally, he held the chair for science communication and research at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2018 and was the managing director of the Klaus Tschira Foundation from 2019 to 2022.
