Carlos Roberto Piazzoli, known by his stage name Piska, was a Brazilian producer, arranger, composer, and multi-instrumentalist born on April 22, 1951, in São Paulo. He gained fame as the guitarist for the band Casa das Máquinas during the 1970s and later worked with prominent MPB artists. In 1989, he shifted to sertaneja music, collaborating with major artists and producing hit albums. Despite facing legal troubles in the late 1970s, he experienced significant success until health issues arose in 2009, which ultimately led to his death on December 30, 2011.
