Carlos Pedro Blaquier (1927-2023) was an Argentine businessman and one of the richest men in the country, known for owning the agro-industrial company Ledesma. He was implicated in crimes against humanity during Argentina's last military dictatorship (1976-1983), leading to legal investigations against him. Blaquier served on Ledesma's board for over 50 years, was its president for 43 years, and founded Pacuca, a major producer of pork and processed meats. Despite legal accusations, he received the Konex Platinum Award in 2008 for his business contributions.
