Carl Johnson Slone was an American college basketball coach born on February 6, 1937. He served as the head coach of men's basketball at George Washington University from 1970 to 1974 and at the University of Richmond from 1974 to 1978. Prior to coaching, he played college basketball for the Richmond Spiders from 1957 to 1960, earning a position as a three-year starter at forward. During his senior year, he notably led the team in both scoring and rebounding.
