Carl Gustaf Edelstam (1924-2016) was a Swedish zoologist and museum curator recognized for his contributions to ornithology, particularly in understanding bird migration and mimetic behavior among animals. He was the curator at the Swedish Museum of Natural History from 1966 and served as the first curator from 1971 to 1989. Edelstam was also involved in significant bird migration studies in Sweden and Italy and frequently appeared as an expert on the radio and TV program Naturväktarna.
