He is a reporter and host at Östnytt, a regional news program on SVT, where he has worked for several years. Tersmeden is the son of Jacques Tersmeden and Eira Björkegren. He has a brother named Jacob Niclas Tersmeden, who is an illustrator and comic artist. His great-grandfather was the artist Bruno Liljefors.
