Carl Alexius Berndtson was a Swedish artist, born on January 23, 1908, in Solna, Stockholm, and died on January 14, 2002, in Danderyd. He was the son of Karl Viktor Berndtson and Terese Odelius. Berndtson studied art under several French and Dutch artists before attending the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. He participated in over 70 international exhibitions and signed his works with the initials CAB. His art is represented in the Vatican Museums, Smithsonian, Lund's Archive of Decorative Arts, and the Institut Tessin in Paris.
