Cai Shenxi was a general officer in the Chinese Red Army during the Chinese Civil War. Born in Liling, Hunan, he joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1924 and played a significant role in the Northern Expedition and the Nanchang Uprising. He fought against the Kuomintang and was involved in several key uprisings, including the Guangzhou Uprising. Cai led an attack in Jiangxi in November 1929 but was ultimately killed in action in 1932.
