Chelsea L. Polk is a Canadian author known for her romantic fantasy novels. Her debut novel, Witchmark, was nominated for the Nebula Award and Lambda Award for Best Novel and was also nominated for the Locus Award for Best Debut. She started her writing journey with short stories on her blog and contributed to the web series Shadow Unit. Witchmark, the first of the Kingston Cycle, features Miles Singer, a veteran hiding magical talents in a world reminiscent of post-Victorian England. Polk won the World Fantasy Award in 2019 and the Hugo and Nebula Awards in 2023.
