He served as a concert master for the Prague Symphony Orchestra from 1946 to 1960 and was a member of the 'Prazske Trio' alongside František Rauch and František Smetana. As a soloist, he mainly performed works by Czech composers, including Antonín Dvořák, Josef Suk, Josef Bohuslav Foerster, and Bohuslav Martinů.
