After completing her high school education in 1953, she studied Romance languages in Göteborg and engaged with student theater. She learned art from notable teachers and participated in various exhibitions, including Unga tecknare and contributed to Göteborgs-Tidningen as a reporter and illustrator, primarily focusing on theater and ballet sketches.
