Brian Robb was a multifaceted artist known for his work as a painter, illustrator, and cartoonist. During his career, he created posters and advertisements for Shell and London Transport and contributed cartoons to the magazine Punch. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Robb served as a camouflage officer during World War II in the Western Desert. After the war, he became an educator, teaching at Chelsea College of Art and later leading the illustration department at the Royal College of Art.
