Branko Milanović (born October 24, 1953) is a Serbian-American economist and professor at the City University of New York. He is known for his research on income distribution globally and economic inequality, with notable works including 'Capitalism Alone'. Since January 2014, he has been a visiting presidential professor at CUNY and a senior visiting fellow at the Luxembourg Income Study. Milanović has previously served as the chief economist at the World Bank and has held visiting professor positions at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University.
