John Brandon Bell II, born on December 20, 1958, is an American politician and entrepreneur from Charlottesville, Virginia. He served as a state senator for two separate terms, initially winning against Stephen H. Emick after Malfourd W. Trumbo retired. After his tenure, he lost the Republican Party Primary in 2007 by a narrow margin to Ralph K. Smith, following a controversial bill he proposed to ban smoking in private businesses, which did not pass during his time but was eventually enacted by a different senator in 2009.
