Boubé Zoumé (December 30, 1951 – January 15, 1997) was a notable Nigerien writer and poet, known for his contributions to Nigerien literature. Originating from a fishing family of the Songhai-Zarma ethnic group along the Niger River, he studied business management in Niamey. Zoumé is recognized as one of the most significant poets in Niger, primarily writing in French. His most famous work, a collection of poems titled 'Les souffles du cœur,' was published in 1977, while his 1996 book 'Talibo, l’enfant du quartier' explores the story of a boy in a Quranic school amidst societal disintegration.
