Boštjan Poklukar is a Slovenian politician, official, and military officer born on January 27, 1971, in Jesenice. He graduated in public management and served in the Slovenian War of Independence in 1991. He held positions in the Ministry of Defense and was Secretary of the Civil Protection and Rescue Administration. Poklukar was Minister of the Interior in the government of Marjan Šarec from September 2018 to March 2020 and returned as Minister in Robert Golob's cabinet in February 2023. He authored a book and has also worked as a lecturer.
