After taking over his father's lighting factory, he later worked with Ikea as a product manager. Claesson has started multiple companies, including a successful online telephone directory business, and is also the publisher of the newspaper Inblick. He is married to Britt Bäckrud and has seven children, many of whom are involved in his media ventures.
