Boris Tsybin was a Soviet speed skater born on June 14, 1928, in Rzhev, Russian SFSR. He began competing in Soviet competitions in 1952 and made his international debut at the 1956 Winter Olympics, finishing ninth in the 10,000 meters. His most notable achievement came in 1957 when he won a bronze medal at the World Championships. The following year, he placed eleventh in the same competition. Tsybin continued to compete until 1961, marking his legacy in the sport of speed skating.
