Borís Markàrov was a Russian water polo player who competed under the Soviet flag during the 1950s and 1960s. Born on June 16, 1935, in Vólkhov, he achieved significant recognition by winning a bronze medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. Throughout his club career, he played for two teams in Leningrad: Burevestnik from 1954 to 1961, and Spartak from 1961 to 1963. Markàrov passed away on April 23, 2023.
