Boris Manov was a Bulgarian officer in the State Security and a functionary of the Bulgarian Communist Party. Born in 1922 in Radomir, he became a partisan for a few months and after the September 9 coup in 1944, he worked in State Security. He reached the position of head of the political police in 1967-1968. Later, he transitioned to the party apparatus and from 1971 to 1984, he led the organization of the Communist Party in the Pernik region.
