Bjarne Stroustrup is a Danish computer scientist, born on December 30, 1950, in Aarhus, Denmark. He is best known for inventing and developing the C++ programming language. Currently, he is a professor and holds the position of Chair in the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University. He also serves as a visiting professor at Columbia University and is the managing director at Morgan Stanley in New York.
