Birte Carlé (August 1, 1923 – February 21, 2014) was a Danish literary researcher and educator. After earning her master's degree in Danish and religious studies in 1950, she began a career as a researcher, teacher, writer, and translator. Carlé taught at Østre Borgerdyd Gymnasium until 1977 and later became a lecturer in Danish at the University of Groningen. She authored a doctoral thesis on a literary narrative and translated works, including Anne Frank's diary. She is buried at Hornbæk Cemetery.
