Birgitte Dissing Nauntofte is a Danish professor and researcher born on June 25, 1958, in Frederiksberg. She served as the CEO of the Novo Nordisk Foundation from 2009 until February 2021. Originally educated at the University of Copenhagen's Dental School, she started her career as a dentist before transitioning into research. Prior to her role as CEO, she was a professor and vice-dean at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. She has also held various board positions and trust roles.
