Bilquis Edhi (born August 14, 1947) is a Pakistani professional nurse and co-founder of the Edhi Foundation, recognized as one of the most active social workers in Pakistan and often referred to as the 'Mother of Pakistan.' Born during the partition in 1947, she received the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Service in 1986 along with her husband, Abdul Sattar Edhi. In 2015, she was awarded the Mother Teresa Memorial International Award for Social Justice. The Edhi Foundation provides various services, including a hospital and emergency services in Karachi.
