Billy Gonsalves, born Adelino William Gonsalves on August 10, 1908, in Portsmouth, United States, was an American soccer player who played primarily as a central midfielder and also as a left inner forward. He represented the United States in two World Cup tournaments, specifically in the inaugural 1930 event held in Uruguay and the 1934 tournament in Italy. Gonsalves is remembered for his contributions to soccer during the early decades of the sport in the United States, until his passing on July 17, 1977, in Kearny, United States.
