William Fatianga Marsters was the inaugural president of the Cook Islands Christian Church, the largest religious body in the Cook Islands. Born on Palmerston Island, he was a prominent figure in the community and administered the church from Rarotonga. After a scandal involving missing funds led to his resignation in the late 1970s, he returned to Palmerston Island as a pastor and community leader. Marsters had 12 children and was frequently referred to as 'Reverend Bill' to differentiate him from other family members. He passed away in 2004.
