Biagio Agnes was an Italian journalist born on July 25, 1928, in Serino and passed away on May 30, 2011, in Rome. He started working for RAI, the Italian state broadcasting company, in 1958. During the 1960s, he developed the midday news program for Telegiornale and created the regional news program Testata Giornalistica Regionale in 1979, which was a precursor to TG 3 for Rai 3. Agnes served as the General Director of RAI from 1982 until the end of 1989.
