He was an attacker who played for Gais, debuting in the Allsvenskan league during the 1926/1927 season and contributing to the club's championship win. Thulin also played for Lessebo GoIF, helping the team achieve promotion to Division II in the 1934/1935 season. He represented Sweden in one international match in 1929.
