Bernhard Schulze is a retired German canoeist born on May 20, 1938, in Recklinghausen. He competed in the 1950s and 1960s, participating in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics where he won a silver medal in the K-4 1,000 meters event. He teamed up with Günther Perleberg, Friedhelm Wentzke, and Holger Zander. At the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, he finished ninth in the K-2 1,000 meters. His achievements also include a gold medal at the European Canoeing Championships in 1959 and a bronze in 1965, as well as fourteen national titles.
