Bernard Teyssèdre (1930 – December 29, 2021) was a French professor of art history and a writer. He authored novels and scholarly works focusing on topics such as art history, aesthetics, and geology. Notable among his works is the novel "Le roman de l'Origine," which discusses Gustave Courbet's famous painting "L’Origine du monde" (1866). The first edition was published in 1996, with a revised edition following in 2007.
