Bernard-Aloys Nkongmeneck was a Cameroonian ethnobotanist and academic, born on September 4, 1948, in Dschang. He served as a professor at the University of Yaoundé I and was the founder of the Millennium Ecological Museum (MEM). He dedicated his career to the study of plant use in various cultures and contributed significantly to the field of ethnobotany until his passing on March 24, 2017, in Bologna, Italy.
