Bent Erik Mortensen (born April 26, 1935 – December 14, 2016) was a Danish physician and national handball player. He served as a chief physician in rheumatology at Holbæk Sygehus for 33 years and led the sports clinic at Rigshospitalet for 25 years. As a goalkeeper, he played 121 matches for the national team from 1957 to 1971 and became the first player to celebrate a 100-match anniversary in 1970. He was considered among the best handball goalkeepers in the late 1950s.
