Senya was a bear who lived from 2013 to 2016. Rescued by the Russian quarantine center for wild animal rescue 'Veles' in November 2013, he was claimed by his owners to be the smallest bear in the world. At 3.5 years old, he weighed only 20 kg, significantly lighter than typical bears his age, and stood 45 cm tall at the shoulder. While a Guinness World Records application was submitted, it remained unverified due to his passing. A bronze statue commemorating him was unveiled on June 26, 2017, at the 'Veles' center.
