Bassey Albert Akpan is a Nigerian politician born on October 28, 1972. He has been a member of the Nigerian Senate since June 2015, representing the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District. He previously served as the Commissioner of Finance in Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2014. Albert was first elected to the Senate in March 2015 and secured re-election in February 2019. He is affiliated with the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
