Bassam Al Mulla was a prominent Syrian director born on February 13, 1956, in Zahle. He is best known for directing the highly acclaimed Syrian series 'Bab Al-Hara', which is set in the Levantine environment. Coming from a theatrical family, his father was actor Adham Al Mulla, and his siblings include actor Mouayed and directors Moamen and Bashar Al Mulla. His children, Adham and Shams, also acted in 'Bab Al-Hara'. Bassam Al Mulla passed away on January 22, 2022.
