Basem Khandakji is a Palestinian writer and prisoner born in 1983. He studied journalism and media at An-Najah National University. He was arrested by Israeli forces on November 2, 2004, and sentenced to life imprisonment. Khandakji has written several novels and poetry collections from inside prison, including his latest novel 'Khusuf Badr al-Din', published in December 2018. Some of his works have been translated into French.
