Barbara Mary Ramsden (1903–1971) was a prominent Australian book editor known for her significant contributions to Melbourne University Press from 1941 to 1967. Born in Sydney to English immigrants, she pursued arts at the University of Melbourne and initially worked in university libraries before joining MUP. Although she effectively managed MUP after the death of her manager, she was never formally promoted. Her legacy continues with the FAW Barbara Ramsden Award established in her memory to honor excellence in writing and editing Australian literature.
