Barbara Allen (born February 8, 1961) is a Republican state senator from Kansas's 8th District. An attorney by profession, she graduated from Mount Vernon College and the University of Missouri–Kansas City Law School. Allen served in the Kansas House of Representatives before being elected to the Kansas Senate. She faced breast cancer but underwent treatment and is now in remission. Active in politics for decades, she has a passion for children's advocacy, serving as a patron of the Kansas Children's Cabinet.
