Ayat Mohagheghi was a prominent pilot brigadier general in the Imperial Iranian Air Force, best known for flying the F-4 Phantom 2. He served as the commander of the Mehrabad 1st hunting base and was a member of the Golden Crown acrobat team. Following the 1979 Iranian Revolution, he participated in the leadership of the Nojeh coup, also referred to as the 'Niqab Uprising.' His involvement led to his arrest, trial, and subsequent execution on July 19, 1980, after the coup was thwarted.
