Mukwanangombe Auguste Mukwahepo Immanuel, born on October 7, 1937, and passed away on May 30, 2018, was a prominent Namibian guerrilla and the first female recruit of the People's Liberation Army of Namibia. During the South African Border War, she dedicated herself to caring for children, moving between camps as necessary. After leaving Namibia in 1963, she undertook military training in Tanzania and became the only woman in SWAPO's Kongwa camp for nine years. Mukwahepo played a vital role in supporting her community and returned to Namibia after independence with five children she cared for during her exile.
