She played for the Minneapolis Millerettes in 1944, showcasing her skills as a right-handed batter and fielder. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she was influenced by her brothers to play baseball. A versatile athlete, she played various sports in high school. After marriage in 1945, she continued in baseball with the Parichy Bloomer Girls. Kissel was honored in the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Hancock High School Hall of Fame for her contributions to the sport.
