Atsushi Kurashima (January 25, 1924 - August 3, 2017) was a Japanese meteorological essayist and meteorologist. He held a Doctor of Science degree from Tokyo University of Education (now Tsukuba University). He was also active as a weather caster on television. Kurashima contributed significantly to the public understanding of meteorology through his writings and broadcasts, making complex scientific concepts accessible to a wider audience.
