Ashoka Abeysinghe is a prominent Sri Lankan politician, serving as a member of Parliament representing the United National Party. He was the inaugural mayor of Kurunegala from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party before switching to the United National Party. After the party's success in the 2015 general elections, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation. In 2020, he aligned with opposition leader Sajith Premadasa to form the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and was elected to Parliament with this party.
