Aryness Joy Wickens (1901–1991) was an American statistician and economist who served as acting commissioner of the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics and president of the American Statistical Association. She played a significant role in developing the Consumer Price Index for the United States. Wickens graduated from the University of Washington and earned a master's in economics from the University of Chicago. In the 1930s, she worked at the Federal Reserve Board, joined the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 1933, and held various roles, advocating for women's leadership throughout her career.
