Arvo Närvänen was a Finnish football and bandy player, born on February 12, 1905, in Viipuri and passed away on April 4, 1982, in Helsinki. He played for Viipurin Sudet and was part of their bandy team, winning the Finnish Championship eight times. Representing the national team, he earned 14 caps in bandy and made 41 appearances in football, debuting at 19. He participated in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where Finland was eliminated after one match. His only international goal came in September 1929 against Latvia.
