Rear Admiral Arun Auditto was a distinguished Flag Officer in the Indian Navy, recognized for his contributions during the Liberation of Goa. He was the first Commanding Officer of the Kalvari-class submarine INS Kursura, leading it during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Afterward, he commanded the submarine base INS Virbahu and the frigate INS Trishul. Auditto later served as the Fortress Commander of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and as the first Flag Officer Submarines before retiring in 1988.
