Artur Tatxé i Datzira was the mayor of Folgueroles during the Spanish Civil War, representing the Unió de Rabassaires. His term began on October 18, 1936, and ended in August 1937 when he was conscripted by the republican side. After the war, he faced exile and was placed in the Argelers camp, ultimately working in forced labor for the Nazis. He died in a work accident in Tula, France, in 1968. His legacy continued with research presented by his great-nephew in 2021, which received several awards for its democratic memorial significance.
