Karl Artur Andersson was a Swedish politician and glass collector born on December 10, 1912. He managed his family's farm before becoming a treasurer at Jordbrukarnas Sparkassa from 1937 to 1971. Active in the Center Party, he was elected to the Värö municipal council in 1948 and served as chair of the municipal board from 1950 to 1970. His interest in glass art grew from gifts he received, leading him to collect pieces from Swedish glassworks. He bequeathed his collection to the Länsmuseet Varberg, where most of the museum's glass works originated.
