Arthur R. Godar was an American politician and businessman born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Marquette University in 1947. Godar owned a car dealership in Oconomowoc and was a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1953. Later, he moved to Florida in 1977, where he owned the Malaga motel in Cape Coral and served on the Lee County planning commission.
