Arthur Christian Jørgensen (1908-1994) was a Danish business leader and entrepreneur known for founding Søby Værft in Søby. He trained as a machine worker at his father's factory before relocating to Søby with his wife in 1930, where he started Søby Motorfabrik in 1931. Under his management, the yard became the largest employer on the island, producing fishing vessels and other marine engines. Jørgensen also contributed to local culture by establishing a cinema and ferry routes, and was named an honorary citizen of Ærø Municipality.
